Player Registration Rules

To enhance competitiveness across top leagues:

  • Clubs in the SportPesa League, Women’s Premier League, National Super League, and Women’s National Super League can now register up to seven foreign nationals per season.
  • There are no restrictions on the number of foreign players allowed on the pitch during matches.

This is expected to raise the overall quality of football and attract more talent to Kenyan leagues.

These updates reflect a more streamlined and competitive Kenyan football pyramid, from grassroots Sub-County Leagues to the top-tier SportPesa League and Women’s Premier League, ensuring that talented clubs and players have clear pathways to success.
