On October 3, 2025, Gor Mahia Football Club received a major boost after a special breakfast meeting with their club patron, Honorable Raila Odinga, at his Karen residence.
The club’s management team, led by Chairman Ambrose Rachier, met Raila Odinga and his wife, Mama Ida Odinga, to discuss the team’s preparations for the 2025/26 SportPesa League season.

Earlier in the week, the team also received a surprise cash token of KSh.300,000 from the Cabinet Secretary for Youth, Creative Economy, and Sports, Hon. Salim Mvurya, during a training session.
